Things

Firstly, if you have a few minutes to spare or are bored and want to expand your mind try http://www.freerice.com/index.php You can increase your vocab, maths, whatever and feel good because someone is benefiting.

I have no idea what I'm doing up at 4.45am but there ya go. I'm gonna go to bed shortly. I do have an alarm set for 10am and have to be up by 11am because Ted and Miffy are coming to board so I need to be decent to meet them.

I'm considering a new piercing below my current trio but I think that will wait until I'm a bit more flush. This month I'm putting £50 on the credit card to help Jo out, paying American Sarah £40 for some books she's getting for me and Alison and I are off to the new yarn shop in Huddersfield tomorrow so I want cash for that.

Assuming I've been paid today, if not it won't be until Tuesday which will be an arse as I'll borrow off Jo then have to pay him back and it gets complicated doing that.

I finished Hemlock this month:

I'm probably going to frog it though as it's too small to be a blanket (I had to stop, I was getting sick of it and my hands hurt doing it) but I did enjoy it anyhoo.

Was a busy girl Wednesday night, did two sets of ferret bedding:

The first set is for someone who wanted some, must e-mail her for her address now it's made. The second set is for Nushu in her cage. The backing is Calico which will hopefully stand up to fuzzballs.

The bedspread squares are coming on. Done 5 and no.6 is over halfway done. I'm going to do the JCB marble chunky one in hexagons but as mentioned, I need another colour yet.

Oooh yes, and I need a tenner for KnittyFred to pay him back for some yarn he got me in Coldspring.

On the plus side, Sarah is ordering the books this month so I'll have new books to pore over later this year and she's put in orders to the library system for African knitting patterns and slip-stich colourwork books so those are in the works and linked to my card so I will get a letter when they come in.

Reet, I'm off to bed for a few more hours, maybe hubbie will have stopped snoring by now!

Is your Hemlock the knitted one? Or a crochet version that I can't find with Google?
I was up and spinning into the night, too - must be the season for it!

Yep, knitted one that took me tooooooo long! I did an i-cord bind off that works great for preventing curling edges.

It's the summer(!) vibe, we turn nocturnal to avoid the heat. Alright, maybe not us ;)
