I's been busy I has.
I've typed up and edited until i was seeing squares my "mariner" mitts. Just need some dark blue 4-ply, might sub with black, to test. Once I've test knit a pair I shall unleash it on the test-knit group on Rav. and see if I can actually write a comprehensible pattern.
I've added the pdf for my two-needle mitts to my designer page on Rav.
I've also made some blank charts for motifs to put on premature baby clothes and blankets. There are so many ideas I thought I'd share the charts and people can design their own then e-mail them back to me where I will turn them into pdf's and put them in my designer space free of charge. So far my charts are just for 4-ply, I'll do the DK ones tomorrow. It's easiest to do them on my PC but that means having the light on in the ferret room which has been linked to increase chance of adrenal cancer in ferrets so I want to avoid that.
This offer is open to anyone, so if you want some 4-ply charts let me know.
Once I get paid I've decided to get Barry's lump sent off to the labs, it'll nag me if I don't know what it is after all, his Mum eventually succumbed to something that grew masses on her kidneys and spleen so I want to catch anything early and be brutal while he's young and healthy enough to fight. On the plus side the scab has completely fallen off and revealed nothing more than healthy pink skin so that's all healed, there's a raised scar but that'll flatten with time.
My LYS had a ball of Sirdar Crofter in their bargain bucket last week so I spent the grand sum of £1.22 on it and am going to start some new mitts for myself in it shortly. I've got a pair in King Cole cotton that are starting to go out of shape and irritate more than anything.
But right now I fancy a tin of tomato soup and a home made roll or two, later peeples.
