I've done it, my first complete pattern.
I finally got round to using the charts I'd made in Open Calc to make the charts for the pattern and then some technical wizardry turned it all into a pattern. I just have a few adjustments to make and then I shall be looking for test-knitters.
If anyone's interested it's a pair of mitts, one with a ship and another with an anchor and some patterning. Should fit med-large woman's hand using 4-ply.
I'm also going to draw up some charts for baby-born-asleep motifs to add to existing patterns. Just to add a personal touch to help parents. First I need to get dimensions for those though so that's a long running thing.
Hubbie has been ill since Tuesday so we're both tired today. He did sleep on the futon last night to let me catch up as his coughing and duvet-throwing and general fidgeting kept me awake for 2 nights before.
On the great side, his belated chrissy pressie of "God, The Devil and Bob" arrived today so we've enjoyed two episodes of that. Right now I'm tolerating "The Daily Show", hubbie likes it but the host really ticks me off.
I'm about to cast on for a new project. I'm rather enjoying DPN knitting recently so I found a ball of Crofter in the bargain bin at my LYS so I'm hoping it'll make a pair of mitts for someone.
Also slowly crocheting my swap gift for my partner in the Knitherapy swap.
One week, 1 day until we're in Lancaster and 24 hours after that we'll be on Sanday in Orkney, MEEP.
