I was updating my Etsy shop with a few wares and wanted to consult the Royal mail website for postage....oh no I don't! So I've had to guess for now. Next time I go to a PO I shall pick up a prices leaflet.
Back to work tomorrow. Ah well, the holiday was nice atleast.
Now, a photographic interlude....

The new stock drying. The orangey and the purpley are now in my shop, the green is for half-cousin Alison's stocking which I should probably get on with if I want it done before Christmas.
The first panel for the bedspread is done and crochet'd together:

It's currently stretching under its own weight so I need to crack on with more. Went to get more cream and purple today, couldn't get the same shade purple so I got a darker one, it's not too drastically different so should be okay.
Now, you know those lovely tops I dyed with the indigo dye last month?

This is what happens when you spin them. Ooops. So, yeah, didn't wash those thoroughly enough.
My spinning has gone a bit off at the moment, I keep breaking whatever I try to spin so that's set aside for now. I did get some milk tops last month that are amazing to spin but atm I just haven't the enthusiasm.
Got more tops soaking to be dyed this evening and then the steamer can be started before I go to bed, time itself out and they'll be cold by morning. Cunning I am. Also the advantage of using a timed steamer, you can set it to 20 minutes, know it'll do the job and leave it. It even turns off the heating element if the water runs out.
Oooh, thinking of dyeing....I went into the chemists yesterday to get some citric acid, apparently I look innocent enough no problem because she would have happily sold me some if it hadn't been out of stock for weeks. Grrrr.
Alison is wanting to go to Manchester this weekend to a stitch thing so I shall try and remember to ask if we can find a chemist and try there.
I have also discovered something interesting, the way I dye pure wool dyes acrylic too. I use scrap acrylic to do ties because I thought they'd show afters, but no they dye too.
I have started my Click afghan aswell but haven't got photos yet, want to make a hex of each colour first and I've been distracted, sorry Fred I know you want pics!
That's about it really. Don't want to go back to work this term, the wet weather is back and seems set to last the rest of the year plus it's the half of the year where I get up before the sun which plays merry heck with my moods.

I'm glad you like the Attic24 blog - it's so inspirational! I made Lucy's recipe for pecan and cranberry tiffin today and it is delicious!
