WWKIP day

World Wide Knit In Public day was yesterday, 13th June.

It was lovely to see soooooooo many people! My local meet was at the Piece Hall in Halifax, Alison drove the two of us over and I think we had 16 at one point. It was also a food and drink festival but that didn't stop us taking a bench at a cafe and camping out on the grass next to it.

The weather was fantastic, a fair few of us have a little sunburn to show for it. Carol was fantastic and showed a couple of ladies how to spin, sorry I set you up! I did intend to PM you about it but our internet is a right moody so-and-so this month.

I think one of the best parts was seeing the two men knitting together. Pete is usually all on his own (not that he seems to mind) so it was wonderful to see him sharing tips with another man :)

So, yes, absolutely wonderful day. Now I think I shall go on a walk and see if I can find some dye plants to harvest later in the year.
