A short video of her in action:

Sorry it's so dark, the camera don't do artificial light too well. The clattering sort of noise is the laptop power cable on the treadle, not the wheel making a death rattle.
and this is why I *adore* our camera:

This photo was taken while she was going top speed, crystal clear, I love our camera. If you ever want a decent camera for in-motion shots or if , like me, you suffer from shakes it's fantastic. I highly recommend the Kodak Easyshare Z650 and a memory card and you're set.
So yes, this is my gorgeous new wheel, cost me a grand total of £50 and is fantastic. My great pal Alison kindly drove us to get the wheel and back again. I also gave her an early birthday present/thank you of some alpaca that I think she's still deliberating over.
It was missing a drive whorl but an amazing man in Selby has turned me the missing whorl which fits like it was always there and is even going to turn me bobbins when he's feeling better, I've told him he doesn't need to rush but he wants to see her whole again as much as I do.
I'm also doing my first ferret racing this weekend too. My details were passed on by Jean who usually does racing in the area and the man who's booked me is making a brand new race set that I will be allowed to keep afters. I also get to sell my wares with no table rental. Amazing. So I'm excited yet slightly worried about it. I'm sure it'll all go well :)
Anyhoo, not much else to report. Happy Easter if I don't report back until then.

Hi Fluzz, Thanks for the comment on my blog. Yes Araucania are trying to be 'funky' with their spellings....I had to double check when I bought the wool.
I've had a look at your Etsy shop and it's looks good. I've thought about making stitch markers but they're so fiddley that I've decided against it and stick to what I know best....knitting! Fancy doing a link swap with our shops in an attempt to get more trade?
