The cotton is dry and other things

I'm going to have to fathom how to dry this stuff quicker, it's taken nearly 4 days!

Anyhoo, it's dry and listed in my Etsy shop, I tried to be "artistic" in my photography so here we go:

Turquiose noils:

Emerald Green: (not sure if this will sell looking like this, may have to overdye)

My Hemlock is going well, just done round 21 on the chart. I knit and tinked and knit and tinked and knit again on Tuesday morning at knit'n'knatter. I hadn't at any point actually cocked up the knitting, just my thinking. So that was frustrating. I couldn't crochet because the eczema on the side of my right hand is right where the hook rests and bleedin' well hurt!

On the plus side, the weather is being wonderful, it was a little drizzly yesterday afternoon/evening but nothing amazingly wet. I've got the bedding out on the line, put it out 9.15, dry already at 1.15. I'll leave it out until I get back from work anyhoo, it's nice to have aired and sun-bleached bedding on the bed. Some stains in the sheet haven't washed out, Jo had a bad nosebleed and the blood is set in because numpty me put it through at 60. Ah well, we should probably replace the sheets soon anyway, they're getting rather stained, serves us right for using a cream and a white sheet.

My back is giving me hell at the moment. Still no letter from the physio, I would have gone in today to ask about it but I had Thomas with me and the receptionists glare at me for having an animal (fair enough).

Thomas has a tummy bug. Luckily it's only him, the other 4 are fine. His back end was all floppy on Sunday but as he was eating and drinking I left him in isolation and got to the vets for Monday. He's on anti-biotics, pro-biotic/fecal binding agent and now has some fuciderm cream for the ulcers and skin irritation in his nethers. So 7.30am he gets the AB, 9.30 is the probiotic and cream, 6pm is the second AB and 7pm is the second probiotic and cream again. Poor little man, he's not happy about all this but he does get spoilt after each thing with a whole ml of ferretone, the catnip for ferrets. I even got them all a diced chicken breast for bedtime treat today and as Thomas is in solitary he gets his portion all to himself. This is ofcourse when I discover he's not one who eats it ;)

I was getting a lift back with Mick, one of the MyBus drivers, yesterday afternoon when we got to talking about the hols. I mentioned I'd done some ferret racing and after this weekend I shall be in posession of my own kit for doing so. He's asked me if I could do some in September :D I shall have to ring Jean first though because I want to know about insurance stuff. Currently if I help her I'm covered under her insurance and for the racing I did at Easter I was covered by the owner's insurance so I need to check with Mick if the site will have insurance or do I need to sort my own. I'll ask Jean how much she pays for hers and who from, may be worth getting. I may even advertise a little ;)

Anyhoo, not much else really. I've re-joined Friends Re-united, I had joined but completely forgotten all the details then remembered someone I wanted to check on this weekend and so it went from there. One pal from Uni is now an electronic consultant and a pal from school is happily over in Australia where she always dreamed of going.

I realised at the weekend I actually miss one of the boy who bullied me from the first day he was at the school, weird but true. I miss his piano playing mainly. We did music GCSE together with some others and that was the only lesson he didn't bully me in, he even respected my vocal ability. Wonder what would have happened if I'd taken singing as my specialisation rather than piano?

Really shouldn't have done piano, I can't read along a line easily so discerning which line the note is on was almost impossible, I still remember getting rapped on the knuckle with a pencil every time I hit the wrong key or dithered. My poor teacher ended up telling me to label them all becuase that way I could actually progress. I got rid of my piano books when I cleaned out my bedroom at my parents' bit of a shame now, ah well, not as though we have a piano or even a keyboard anymore. My keyboard was sent to charity when my hands got too big for the tiny keys.

Ahh, the road not travelled.

Anyway, it's much too nice a day to sink into gloom so I am going to go browse ravelry, check e-mails and then knit on my Hemlock blanket, never know, might be done by Christmas ;)

I'm in love with turquoise, it's definitely my favorite - always happy when there are pics, my flemish brain doesn't always want to read english, this is one of those days...
