Lost my knitting mojo

I've got some *gorgeous* new needles for christmas, Boyes Needlemaster set of interchangeable circs. They're wonderful and will open the way for magic loop knitting once I regain the knack of knitting with them.

So yesterday I learnt entrelac. It was interesting and certainly easier to turn so often using circs rather than straights but.....I dunno. Not a technique I'll use unless it's part of a pattern I like. It takes a long time, lots of counting and meh. It's like lace, just a bit too much concentration for me. I started a celtic knot stole this year, got 4 rows in and am probably going to frog it.

Anyhoo, some photos:

I also had an epiphany with the sezession idea and used two colours:

Yes you do have to cut the yarn every 2 rows but with such a contrast as off-white and black it looks amazing.

But, yes. I've lost my mojo. I just can't seem to find a pattern that I want to do. I cast on about six different things in the last 3 days and frogged them all. Ah well, something will catch me.

Well done on working out entrelac. I've looked at an entrelac pattern before and my head nearly exploded trying to figure it out. I don't know if it was just a badly written pattern, but it well and truly scared me off.

Well, I found a very nice tutorial on Ravelry that I linked to with my project. If you ever fancy giving it a go again try that, it's really simple.

Excellent, I'll check that out. I've seen one or two entrelac patterns I liked, but had never had much hope of making them.

it's not easy, entrelac, but I like the result (I couldn't do it again though, too much concentration for me too...)

I love your 2-colour shawl

and I have had NO knitting for days so I lost it too... :(
