I noticed on Rav that a friend had sorted her queue so she could find things easily.
How cunning. Up to today I've been using my faves to keep potential patterns aswell as faves. Well, I've just done that. You can create groups for patterns based on tabs so I now have:
Lace
Colourwork
Cute
Prem
I'll add crochet soon.
Yes, much nicer to have my patterns organised by type so I can decide based on my mood.
In other news it was UK Ravelry day today down in Coventry. Alison drove two friends and myself down and we had a pretty good time. Alas, it rained all the time and it wasn't so good for people on mobility scooters, the stalls were too tall to see clearly from a scooter and the indoor stalls didn't have enough passing room so poor Alison spent a lot of time waiting for people who didn't see her to move out of the bloody way.
Honestly, I think I must be a strange human, you see, even when I'm looking for a gap in a crowd I still notice what's directly infront of me, regardless of size. I couldn't believe the number of rude people today, considering knitters/fibre lovers are usually nice people it was so bloody annoying. People would either be oblivious or look at the scooter and assume, even though it's pointing at them, that the person isn't wanting to go that way. UH?????
Anyhooooo, I did some shopping ;)
I got:
300g black alpaca tops from Fibre Harvest
150g Merino/silk blend tops from FH
A plait of BFL in "humbug" from Krafty Koala
A 50g skein of gorgeous laceweight from KK
A Pure wool sample pack from Jamieson and Smith
500g black shetland from J&S
2 skeins of natural lace to dye (one hank is organic too) both from FH
A hank of white and black shetland to spin from FH
Natural dyes, mordants and indigo kit from Mulberry Dyers
The Fibre Harvest people were fantastic, the man who weighed off my alpaca and the merino gave me 1/3rd free basically. I paid for 200g Alpaca but got 300g and 100g merino but got 150g THey were also rounding to the nearest pound so I was very happy indeed.
It wasn't what I expected, nor any of us expected but it was a nice day and I do now have a reasonably sized fibre stash.
Anyway, that's about it really.
On the ferret front, Thomas is on 1mg Prednicare for the rest of his life and is now classed as disabled. I was looking him over this evening and spotted he has a blocked anal gland, typical, so I relieved it enough to make him comfy and Monday I get to ring the vets again. He's also on Anti-biotics to combat the infection. Poor little man was not impressed when Mummy stuffed one pill down his throat, squeezed his swollen bum and then chucked another pill down. He showed his unhappiness by going to sleep in the 7' long plastic tube.
I did clean their room though, swept the floor, tidied and changed the ball bucket to a fleece bucket, when it came to bed time I found Smithy, Fred and David all playing in it. So, yes, unspinnable fleeces and fleece bits welcome, ferrets love to burrow through the stuff.
Right, that really is everything now.

Let me know how you're getting on with the dyes and mordants - you can always give me a call if you need help!
Thank you mysterious stranger :)
I haven't plucked up the nerve yet, think I may need to ask my more experienced friend if we could do a batch together just so I can get the gist.
