I've (sort of) cracked it!

Ladies and gents (if any read this!) I present my first plyed spinning:

The single on my gorgeous spindle:

Plyed and on my swift. just need to find some scraps to tie it with before I soak and hang it.

Dunno how much I have, might be enough for some wrist warmers, probably not a pair of mitts.

Now off to spin the lovely "Northern Lights" roving I bought from Freyalyn's etsy shop.

Oh dear, more hobby stuff!

Oh yeah, and we have a spare pan hubbie will let me use to dye my fleece and first attempts! :D

It is pink and glittery, and it filled up your spindle nicely.

Have fun preparing your own fiber when the fleece is in.

If you start at dyeing, make sure you dont have your cooking things out, it is so easy to confuse them and spoil them for food preparation in the future, guess why I know :-)

I am haunting the flea markets for a carder, and once was ten minutes too late for one. The dog slickers are a good substitute to hand cards though, and Yesterday I spun up some of the black nosed valaise sheep I had combed last year.

It is so much fun playing around with fiber,
hope it is the same for you.

Thank you, it is indeed very glittery and ooooh.

Oh dear, do tell. I think I'd have to do some *serious* washing up first anyway, the kitchen is under all that stuff somewhere.....

I'm going to get a pair of dog brushes tomorrow and have a go when the fleece arrives. If I like it I don't mind shelling out the £30 but for a a first go it's too much.

Mmmmm, I am fully enjoying it, so calming.

It's pink and I love it. Way to leave me drooling for yarn...:P I can't ever seem to find just the right shade of pink.
